U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said the U.S. would continue looking for an international coalition willing to take military action in Syria-
Hagel made his comments in the Philippines the day after Britain's parliament voted against an attack on Syria.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNITED STATES DEFENCE SECRETARY CHUCK HAGEL SAYING:
"Our approach is to continue to find an international coalition that will act together. And I think you're seeing a number of countries state, publicly state, their position on the use of chemical weapons. We'll continue to consult with our allies and our partners and friends."
The late night vote in the British parliament was a poilitcal body blow to Prime Minister David Cameron.

After the vote, Cameron, who had battled hard to win support for military action, confirmed he wouldn't override the will of parliament.
