56 percent of respondents admitted they’re envious of their work-from-home colleagues.
Most of the participants didn’t personally work remotely, but 70 percent said they wished they did.
Reasons given for the preference included a lot of comments about reduced stress levels.
Others said they’d love to get rid of their commute, for reasons of both time and gas money.
One respondent admitted she’d like to be in total control of her workspace.
When the matter of jealousy entered the conversation, the views of what happens in others’ home offices was significantly different.
Several doubted that what was going on outside of the confines of the workplace had much of anything to do with actual work.
Another fantasized that working from home meant wearing pajamas, cooking and enjoying delicious meals, and composing written correspondence from the bathroom.
Regardless of personal feelings, studies have shown that telecommuters are often more productive than their office dwelling counterparts.
