The Queen and King of Jordan have been at the Vatican to meet with Pope Francis.
The three spoke privately for 20 minutes about the crisis in Syria and agreed that the only way to end the conflict was through diplomacy.
The pope underlined that Christians in the Middle East were opposed to foreign attacks, and would suffer from any outside military intervention.
