We have another tease for Spawn fans. Creator, Todd McFarlane is suggesting that we could see production on the antihero reboot begin as early as next year. It's been a long wait but things are still moving in the remake of Spawn. Todd McFarlane told The Gate during this week's Fan Expo in Canada that his biggest road block has been finding the free time away from his other projects, in order to give the Spawn script the tunnel vision it needs. He said quote "Everybody at my company is now going, 'We've got to find Todd the time to finish all this.'" But the good news came next when McFarlane said that finishing the script wont take too long and that it will be a quick production (at around 60 to 70 days). He said "It's not going to be a giant budget with a lot of special effects; its going to be more of a horror movie and a thriller movie, not a superhero one. I've got so many people phoning now that I've got to get it done. I've made some promises to people this year." Some of those promises are likely to the producers of the project, who have asked for McFarlane to give them the script by years end. And McFarlane even suggests that once that happens, they would probably begin shooting next year, in 2014. And apparently another promise McFarlane has been made has been to a big named "Oscar winner" talent who is supposedly on board to star in the film, as soon as it is ready to go. So, if production does begin in 2014, could that mean that Spawn could be hitting theaters in 2015 competing with some of the biggest superhero team up movies of all time, like the Avengers sequel and the Batman/Superman movie? It's possible, but lets take this movie, one update at a time. We want to hear from you!! is anyone out there excited about McFarlane's vision for this new reboot of Spawn? Lets chat all about it over on Facebook and Twitter. Thank you so much for staying connected with us here at ClevverMovies. Im your host, Erin White, and Ill see ya next time.
