The Argentine star had to be withdrawn from the first leg of the Super Cup final against Atletico de Madrid after suffering a bruised quadriceps. The Brazilian stated that "sometimes, even Ferraris have to pass by the mechanic to get fixed up". He also reminded the press that injuries were common in football and did not find it worrying that Messi had ended last season with similar muscular problems.
He did not, however, deny that the team would miss the player for their upcoming league match against Malaga.
