On top of specializing in expensive and luxurious handbags, Hermès has also created a little something for men. In celebration of opening a 12,000-square foot Beverly Hills boutique, it has unveiled beautiful, leather basketballs.
The majority of luxury's brands products are geared towards women. Now, on top of specializing in expensive and luxurious handbags for women, Hermes has created a little something for men.
To celebrate the re-opening of their 12,000-square foot Beverly Hills boutique, Hermes has unveiled two basketballs each having a retail price of $12,900.
You would think the stunning basketballs would most likely end up being showcased in a mansion. However, the American CEO of Hermes, Robert Chavez stated that the balls can “certainly be used for play - the leather is sturdy, and why not make such a unique item come to life on the court?”
He went on to say the balls represent “the sky, the ocean and all the beautiful pools that are a way of life in L.A. and Southern California.” This is the first time the company has created custom basketballs.
The bright blue balls are certainly gorgeous and as an added touch of luxury, they were made using the same exact hand-stitched technique as Hermes’ Birkin bags. The basketballs were made at a special orders workshop in Paris.
