An adorable four month old puppy has received a prosthetic paw. Lucky Dog Animal Rescue recently announced that their monetary goal of $1,200 had been met thanks to generous donors.

The money was was raised to fit the young dog with a prosthetic leg.The pooch named Evan is a border collie mix that was born without a front right paw.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue was responsible for saving Evan’s mother from a high kill shelter, however a few days after the organization took her in, she gave birth to 10 puppies. Evan was one of those pups, the only one born with a deformity.

After Evan began walking, staff at the animal rescue organization outfitted his paw with a protective bootie, but he wasn’t fond of wearing it. Soon Evan began developing pressure sores on his right, front leg.

The rescue group then decided to raise money by conducting an online fundraiser on Crowdwise. It only took two weeks to raise the cash for Evan’s prosthetic paw.

Evan recently got adopted into a loving home.
