Martin Aircraft is the company behind an undoubtedly awesome jetpack. Capable of reaching an altitude of about 8,000 feet, the jetpack can fly at speeds up to 60 miles per hour.

James Bond, look out! The world’s first practical jetpack may allow average people the opportunity to travel in superior, solo style.

Capable of reaching an altitude of about 8,000 feet, the jetpack can fly at speeds up to 60 miles per hour.

Controlled by joysticks, the jetpack can hold one passenger and that person would also be the pilot of the machine.

Martin Aircraft, the company behind the jetpack stated that it, "is the result of inspiration and many years of development work by Glenn Martin and an enthusiastic team of engineers and other experts. It uses sophisticated composites and a highly efficient propulsion system to achieve the goal of personal flight.”

The jetpack is able to fly in differing kinds of weather, although anything extreme could potentially be dangerous, just like it would for any other aircraft. It can also take off from small spaces.

Recently the company performed several manned test flights to make sure the jetpack was running smoothly and safely. The high performance jetpack will reportedly retail for roughly $150,000, but a streamlined model will be made in 2015 for hopefully a smaller price tag.
