This is another one of those presently totally forgotten 1920's orchestras, led by Harry MacDonald. They made only one single record in 1926, and this is the A-side of this disc. Athough forgotten today, this band clearly comprised excellent musicians. The lovely vocal is by the co-composer of the song.

This definitely is an electrical indeed, offering very good sound too for such an early issue. Thanks a lot for the interesting background information about the recording session!

The orchestra members names were not kept when this was recorded in Camden, New Jersey. Victor usually was obsessive about detailed information on every disc it made. Victor only recorded that there were 3 saxes, two cornets, a violin, trombone, tuba, banjo, piano and traps. This must have been an "electric" since Victor felt free to authorize both a tuba and traps which would have driven an acoustic horn wild!

Thank you Genia! I'm delighted you love this cheerful tune and arrangement... I have no idea though whom the song was dedicated to :-)
