The Big Brother 15 Experience: Bullying Candice Edition

This video contains clips from Big Brother, both aired and live feeds of bullying against Candice Stewart.

It was created in order to shed light on Candice Stewart's experience in the Big Brother house. We attempted to define what certain forms of bullying she experienced were, outside racism. Candice Stewart being a minority in the house hardly had an ally that understood what she went through, other than Howard Overby.

BTW: This is a shortened version of the bullying, yes, shortened.

Some of the forms of bullying from the clip above include racist bullying, indirect bullying, and social alienation.

Racist bullying: Mocking, taunting, name-calling, insulting, degrading a person due to their race. Repeatedly humiliating, excluding, tormenting, ridiculing, and threatening a person exclusively. Often are made fun of by customs, accent, or dress. In most cases, the person is also isolated and deemed unworkable due to their race.

Indirect bullying: When a person or group of people spread false rumors and stories about a person behind their back. These are often seen as malicious attacks.

Social alienation: A group of people that deliberately shun another person from the group because of personal reasons or find it funny to hurt another person simply because they are different.

A message from the creators:

We want to thank Candice for being such a great role model for all women of color. With the creation of this video, we hope everyone realizes that Candice's treatment in the house was very brutal and was completely uncalled for. We also hope that all the housemates genuinely apologize and change their racist thinking, which none of them has done or did to this day.

Thanks for watching.
