Although we got a taste of some footage, and a glimpse of some stars, this year's D23 was a disappointment for fans waiting for news on Disney's upcoming releases like "Star Wars" and "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." Those of us hoping for more info on the highly anticipated Star Wars franchise will have to wait a little longer as Disney did not divulge anything about the upcoming films. Although it was predicted we might get a title, or some casting news regarding Episode VII, the only announcement we got from studio head Alan Horn was "I really wish I could tell you more..." Um yeah. We do too. This was subsequently greeted by boos from the many disappointed fans. The Marvel portion of the presentation wasn't any better, as there was also no news on "Guardians of the Galaxy" or the second installment of The Avengers, "Age of Ultron," but the crowd did get a glimpse of "Thor: The Dark World" via an exclusive clip of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster exploring Asgard. Marvel also showed a trailer and a two minute clip from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." But D23 wasn't all disappointments, as attendees were surprised by an appearance from "Maleficent" star, Angelina Jolie, who spoke about her role as the "Sleeping Beauty" villain and got to check out new footage from the film which hits theaters next year. Looks like Disney is playing it close to the vest as far as info on Star Wars and Marvel goes, but there's always next time...in the meantime, leave a comment and tell us why you think they're keeping so much under wraps, and check out our interviews from D23 by clicking on the link in the description below. I'm Erin Darling, thanks for watching Clevver Movies!
