CONTIKI TOUR OF DUTY

When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone? And we don't mean eating something different for lunch, or wearing shorts instead on pants. We mean being thrown off a bridge tied to a deck chair.
Last week, Contiki sent someone to New Zealand to do just that. Her name is Olivia and boy did she do great.
Travelling to New Zealand's South Island, our hero won her spot on a fully fledged Contiki tour based on her obvious passion for trying something new.
But this was no ordinairy tour - it came with a twist. In the spirit of adventure, Olivia was made to surrender herself to the public, letting them decide her fate for each day of the trip by popular vote.
As each morning's voting came to a close her day was set, with footage of her undertaking the decided dare swiftly released that same day on www.contiki.com/tourofduty, YouTube and Facebook. After all, those pulling the strings wanted to see the results of their meddling.
Dares included being pushed backwards into a canyon swing in Queenstown, being thrown into freezing Lake Wanaka by an ex-All Black, racing a pro ice-climber at Franz Josef Glacier and being pelted by snow balls at Mount Remarkable. Whatever the activity, the Contiki cameras were ready and rolling, capturing the hilarious footage to share online.
This week Contiki has revealed the final wrap video of the Tour Of Duty. To reward the public for their participation, Contiki are giving another lucky pair the chance to experience the tour for themselves… and some of those heart-pumping New Zealand challenges.
