What's your favorite way to burn some calories?

Working out vertically using a Fitwall might be the newest development for gym members.
According to Josh Weinstein, one of the Fitwall’s main investors: “There’s so little innovation in the industry and that frustrates us, not just as entrepreneurs, but also people who have a passion for working out.”

The system is comprised of a simple vertical workout apparatus called a Fitwall, connected to a digital Bluetooth monitor that measures the athlete’s physical performance to be displayed on an iPad above them.

The Fitwall is a seven foot vertical mount that has four hand grips, and four rungs for their feet.

Users track their own workouts and can compare their performance to other people via the monitor and iPad.

Reportedly each gym will have no more than 16 Fitwall stations limiting the number of guests. The first Fitwall opened in La Jolla, California with future Los Angeles locations planned.

After the 40 minute session, trainers review each person’s performance, while everyone takes a shot of coconut juice and dries off with chilled towels scented with mint and lavender.
