Thieves Drive into Store to Steal ATM

According to police, two men drove a pickup truck right into a gas station in Fort Washington, Maryland for the sole purpose of stealing a cash machine.

Successfully stealing from an ATM is never easy but that doesn't stop thieves from trying.According to police, two bold men drove a pickup truck right into a gas station in Fort Washington, Maryland for the sole purpose of stealing a cash machine.

The robbery took place at about 3:45 a.m. at an Exxon station. And the culprits drove right through the front window panel and successfully loaded up the ATM in the truck’s bed before driving off.

The store owner, who was inside the shop at the time of the incident, claimed there was roughly $1,500 inside the machine. Thankfully, nobody was injured during the robbery.

Officers were dispatched to the scene, but upon arrival, the thieves had already left. It was reported the two suspects were wearing ski masks.

The gas station has encountered numerous thefts in the past, but none were as brazen as the most recent one. At around 5 a.m. on the same morning, another Exxon station in nearby Washington D.C. was robbed.

An ATM was stolen from there too. Two men were witnessed leaving in a dark colored pickup truck.
