Usually thieves stick to a certain genre of desired items. Cash, cars and jewelery probably are at the top of that list.

32-year-old Thomas Elmer Reuther from Davenport, Iowa likes to shake things up a bit. He was recently arrested for allegedly stealing numerous items including diapers, baby wipes, lottery tickets and tequila.

According to police, Reuther went on a six day long crime spree. In total he reportedly swiped about $780 in merchandise.

From July 19th to July 24th, Reuther went into several local stores. He allegedly stole alcohol and cigarettes, valued at $60 from a liquor shop. Two days later, he walked into a Dollar General store and swiped $96 worth of diapers and baby wipes.

Next stop was a supermarket, where Reuther decided he needed to obtain a few bottles of tequila. He also entered two separate Kwik Shop stores, where he reportedly reached over the counter when the clerks were busy and snatched lottery tickets.

Police busted him with help from surveillance footage. Reuther told officers he either used the stolen items on himself or traded them for crack cocaine.
