Google recently announced that the company will soon be taking over Starbucks' Wi-Fi services to bring on faster connection speeds.

Nowadays, a Wi-Fi connection is pretty much a given and can be found at almost any coffee shop or restaurant.

Starbucks is one place where you will continuously spot customers on laptops, smartphones and tablets busily typing away.

Google recently announced that the company will soon be taking over Starbucks' WI-FI services to bring on a faster connection speed. The change will appear in all 7,000 company-operated Starbucks stores which are located throughout the United States.

The move should be completed within the next 18 months. Google claimed Starbucks patrons will be able to surf the web at speeds which are about 10 times faster than what they can get now.

Establishments which list "Google Starbucks" as a Service Set Identifier will confirm that chain has been outfitted with the faster speeds. Starbucks has previously been a longtime customer of AT&T, using the company for Wi-Fi.

AT&T reportedly offered Starbucks faster connection speeds - so the decision to switch providers remains a mystery for now.

What do you think about Starbucks' existing Wi-Fi? Which brand among the national outlets has the best wifi connections?
