A swing ride in Glenwood Springs, Colorado can make any adult feel like a child. Called the Giant Canyon Swing at Glenwood Caverns, it essentially catapults riders 1,300 feet above the Colorado River.

Nothing can bring back childhood memories like a good, old swing.

A ride in Glenwood Springs, Colorado can make any adult feel like a child, but it’s definitely not a traditional one.

Called the Giant Canyon Swing at Glenwood Caverns, it catapults riders 1,300 feet above the Colorado River. The surrounding view is beautiful but the ride itself is said to be terrifying.

Ride information from Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park notes “If you're brave enough to open your eyes, your views of the Canyon and Glenwood Springs are breathtaking as you soar through the air at speeds up to 50 miles per hour.” The swing can carry up to four passengers at a time.

The ride basically launches people back and forth over a crevice. Underneath the insanely high ride is lush green land. To the side, gorgeous mountaintops give riders a stunning view of nature at its best.

The scary yet magnificent ride is installed on top of a cliff. The park owner Steve Beckley, who has reportedly only ridden the ride once, claimed the public reaction was mixed. Some laugh, while others terrifyingly scream.
