Taylor Swift duets with new BFF Carly Simon on her classic hit "You're So Vain"! Hey hey music lovers welcome back to ClevverMusic. Lovebird Taylor Swift is roaming the continent on her RED tour right now and likes to bring out special guests at her shows- and who doesn't love a surprise? Foxborough, Massachusetts got an extra special treat Saturday night when Taylor Swift brought out 68-year-old Carly Simon for a duet of her iconic 1972 song "You're So Vain". Taylor teased the crowed before Carly came out saying, "...a question that I've always, always had... who is the song "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon written about? Then introduced Carly on stage where the two sang the song in sync together for the 55,000 person crowd, here's a peek... It's pretty cute to see Carly pass the revenge song torch on to Taylor! It's no surprise that Taylor is a huge Carly Simon fan, as Carly perfected the breakup song genre that Taylor is now known for. Yes, everyone can think of someone they know when they hear "You're So Vain". But who is it actually written about? That is one of music's biggest mysteries, which is still a mystery. While Carly will never reveal who she wrote the song about, Taylor makes it pretty obvious who her tunes are about (Dear John, anyone?). In backstage footage on Taylor's YouTube channel she is heard saying, "When I heard 'You're So Vain' I just thought that was the best song that has ever been written." So now we know where all of Taylor's emotional songs stem from. There's a link below to checkout the full cover song duet from the ladies! Tell us if Carly Simon is the best Taylor Swift role model ever, and should Taylor release her own solo cover of "You're So Vain"? Comment away my friends!
