Writer and director Jeff Wadlow gives new details on his vision for X-Force. Jeff Wadlow is the man of the hour. The writer and director is behind this summer's highly talked about Kick-Ass 2, and just a few weeks ago he was given the very big job of writing the script, and possibly directing the recently announced X-Force movie. Although he wouldn't say which characters we would see in the film, he did reveal to Screenrant some of his favorite characters. He said quote "Look, Im a huge Deadpool fan, who doesn't love Wolverine - but obviously Cable is an iconic character we haven't seen onscreen yet. I love Psylocke, Domino is an amazing character - it's a long list of characters that have appeared in 'X-Force' - Colossus is in the current lineup." Wadlow also went on to say that we could possibly see some of other characters from other movies being re-worked and re-imagined to fit inside of the X-Force team. Although these characters were Wadlow's "personal" pics, it may be safe to use them as a launching pad for some source material speculation. It is possible that Wadlow is using the X-Force vol. 3 and/or the Uncanny X-Force series as the basis for the script, which focused on a division of the X-Men that was at one point led by Wolverine. These series would make sense, being that their mission was to protect mutant kind, which if you watched The Wolverine's after credits scene you would know that the teaser alluded to a similar theme for X-Men: Days of Future Past. But it is still very possible that Wadlow will also incorporate the classic version of the team where Cable works closely with Xavier Institute students, which could re-launch a younger version of the franchise. But why was Jeff Wadlow the studios pick for X-Force? Well according to him, he pitched his own X-Force idea to Marvel's Mark Millar. Millar apparently was pushing the whole Marvel/Avengers model, where solo films would lead to a big team-up movie, but Wadlow told him quote "wait, wait, wait, that's not whats cool about X-Men! Marvel's doing individuals who become a team; this should be about, like, other teams." These X-Force updates will certainly get more and more interesting in the days to come, so make sure you have subscribed to our channel so that you don't miss out on all of the X-Force news when it happens. But before you leave, we know from comments from Mark Millar that the team will consist of 5 members, so if you had to pick your top 5 characters for X-Force who would they be? Leave those for us down in the comments or tweet us your thoughts over on twitter at ClevverMovies. Thank you all so much for watching us, until next time, I'm Vivian Fabiola.
