Last year 31.25 feet tall Rudraksha Shivling was made using about 20 lakh rudraksha on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival in Surat. Now the proud news is the towering shiviling has gained entry in Limca Book of Records. The 31.25 feet tall shivling, which took more than 25,000 hours for erection, has been set on steel structure with the help of threads in vertical lines.
Earlier also two shivlings made by same group made entry in Limca. In 2008, the 15 feet tall rudkrash shivling got an entry in Limca Book of Records and later the record was broken by erecting 21 feet tall shivling in 2010.
