A tiny dog scared away a bear after the large animal walked right into the family home. The Yorkshire terrier somehow managed to get the bear to turn around and chased it right out of the house.
Does size matter?. A 6-pound-dog showed it does not when he chased a 100-pound bear and saved his owner's life.
Deborah Epstein from New Jersey was recently relaxing at home, recovering from car accident injuries. The woman and her dog, named Joe had been enjoying the outdoors when the phone rang, so Epstein walked inside and left the door ajar.
That turned out to be a big mistake. All of a sudden, the 6 pound pooch began furiously barking, causing Epstein to look in his direction. That’s when she saw a bear in her own house.
The 100-pound bear wasn’t shy and reportedly walked over to Joe’s food bowl. The Yorkshire terrier somehow managed to get the bear to turn around and chased it right out of the home.
Fortunately, the pooch was unharmed. Epstein claimed she learned a valuable lesson and vowed to keep her doors shut at all times.
