X-men's Charles Xavier & Harry Potter are teaming up in a new Frankenstein movie! Fox is pulling two stars from two huge Hollywood franchises to re-create one of the most loved and well known monster movies in cinematic history. And who made the cut? Well, if the negotiations go through, James McAvoy will be playing Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein, and he will be joined by his hunchback sidekick Igor, who will be played by Daniel Radcliffe. Frankenstein will hit theaters on October 17th 2014, and will be a modern take on the original 1931 film, which was adapted from Mary Shelleys popular novel, Frankenstein. We hear that Radcliff's character will be "pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing," but there's no word just yet on how Fox envision's the modern take on Dr. Frankenstein, or how Frankenstein's monster will be portrayed, but we certainly can't wait to see who they will cast as The Monster. The classic literary and movie monster is a hot property right now with several Frankenstein themed movies on the way, including this month's low budget Frankenstein's Army, January's I, Frankenstein starring Aaron Eckhart and even more in various stages of development like Guillermo del Toro's take on the classic novel with Benedict Cumberbatch on his wish list for the lead role. As for this version of Frankenstein, Lucky Number Slevin director, Paul McGuigan is directing with Chronicle scribe, Max Landis writing the script. So, with these two huge names attached to such a classic reboot, do you think it will have a fair shot at winning audiences over? Sounds off below, or over on our Facebook and twitter pages as well.
