The morning after receiving the prediction, he went out and bought a 10-dollar Massachusetts Millionaire Mania scratch-off ticket.
Several days passed before he scratched it, but when he did he found out the fortune cookie was right - he had won a million dollars.
He opted for the 650 thousand dollar cash payout option over the one offering 50 thousand a year for 20 years.
It seems he and his wife are thinking about buying a lake house, but said that they’re going to take their time deciding how to spend the money.
The win was also good news for Colonial News in Feeding Hills as they’ll receive 10 thousand dollars for selling the winning ticket.
