One Direction just told Miley Cyrus's thunder, as the group's newest music video for "Best Song Ever" proved that it's also the best video ever, by becoming the most viewed video within a 24 hour time period on Vevo. Miley's vid for "We Can't Stop" pulled in an impressive 10.7 million views its first day out, but even those numbers couldn't stop 1D from raking in 10.9 million views for its latest music video endeavor. Many are linking the success of the "Best Song Ever" music video to the fact that it shows off the guys unlike ever before, with each lad playing both himself and an additional character. Niall and Louis take on role of studio execs, complete with bald caps and beards, while Liam shows off his moves as a blonde, shorts-wearing choreographer; Harry struts his stuff as a super nerdy marketing associate, but everyone, it's safe to say that best role ever award goes to Zayn, who plays a female assistant, decked out head to toe in a wig, make-up and a skirt. And you know what, he makes a really pretty girl.
After seeing the guys of 1D show off their flare for acting, we cut to a montage of the guys performing and just having a blast. You can almost think of this as an extended theatrical version of a trailer for the group's 3D movie, This is Us, which will be out in August.

Was anyone out there surprised that 1D's video beat Miley's video to take the most viewed video in 24 hours spot on Vevo? And why do you think so many people loved this video in particular? Give us your thoughts below and stick with ClevverTV around the clock for on-going One Direction news as it breaks. I'm Joslyn Davis thanks for tuning in!
