Quake grinds Wellington to a halt

New Zealand's capital bears the scars of a 6.5 magnitude quake.
Wellington's harbour appeared to suffer most from the tremor which struck on Sunday (July 21).
Parts of the city were still grounded to a halt a day later as safety inspections took place.
Prime Minister John Key said building standards should put people at ease.
SOUNDBITE: (English) NEW ZEALAND PRIME MINISTER JOHN KEY SAYING:
"I mean people have high level of levels of anxiety when they feel earthquakes, it's totally understandable. People feel helpless, they can't control the situation and these aftershocks, as we know from Christchurch, roll on for a long period of time so it's destabilizing but I think we can take confidence from the fact that we do have a high standard of building codes in Wellington and in New Zealand."
Sunday's quake was the largest to hit New Zealand since the Canterbury region was devastated in 2011.
