The Windy Knoll Golf Club, located in Springfield, Ohio has purchased two BW1 hover golf carts. The vehicles are essentially in-air, hovering golf carts.
Since their conception, golf carts have typically remained the same in both appearance and functionality. That is until now.
The Windy Knoll Golf Club, located in Springfield, Ohio has purchased two BW1 hover golf carts.
The BW1, is basically a standardized hovercraft, cruising on top of air bubbles and using very little pressure on the ground. The cart can easily move to differing terrain, like from green land to ponds without causing damage to the grass.
Equipped with a 65-horsepower, twin-cylinder engine, it rises about 9 inches off the ground. The BWI can transport four people, and two bags. It can even move backwards at 25 miles per hour if need be.
The manager of the Windy Knoll Golf Club stated “We thought it was really cool, and we were looking for a hook that might help people notice the golf course and come out and play. It's affected by slopes, wind, and terrain, so it's a little like flying a helicopter.”
Those who fall in love with the vehicle can purchase one outright for $58,000.
