After doing some indoor demolition work, contractors found approximately 60,000 honeybees. A beekeeper was immediately called to help get the crazy infestation under control.
You never know what's hidden in a house.
A large amount of unexpected visitors were recently discovered in a Westfield, New Jersey home.
Contractors had been working to put an extension on the house.
While tearing out a wall, employees found approximately 60,000 honeybees in the roof of the house. A beekeeper named Mickey Hegedus was immediately called to help get the crazy infestation under control.
The family in the home claimed to have encountered several bees during the summer. The woman of the house, named Molly stated “I saw them flying around outside so we thought it was a small problem that could be taken care of easily. We didn’t have any idea it was gonna be this big of a problem.”
Molly along with her children did not want an exterminator to kill the bees. Instead they opted to have them removed from the house and relocated to a safer place.
Hegedus utilized a special vacuum to get the bees contained and under control, but the efforts got him stung about 20 times. He has relocated the honeybees to a new colony near a church.
