Those of you who were planning on checking out "Grown Ups 2" this weekend might want to rethink your plans, at least if you listen to the opinions of the critics...The second installment of the "Grown Ups" franchise boasts names of comedy legends like Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade and Kevin James, but the critics aren't cutting it a break as it currently has a 7 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Yikes. Film.com's Jeremy Legel describes it as, "A movie of fools, by fools, for fools" while the Miami Herald's Connie Ogle says, "Nobody escapes untainted by the foul stench of Grown Ups 2." Whoa. And if you thought that was harsh, critic Richard Roeper really goes for the jugular saying "When Taylor Lautner is the funniest thing in a movie starring Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, we're in trouble." Who says Taylor Lautner isn't funny, it's like he's never seen "Twilight"...But the reviews aren't all that terrible. Owen Gleiberman from Entertainment Weekly says, "In certain ways, Grown Ups 2 marks a return to classically Sandlerian infantile anarchy." But my favorite almost favorable review comes from Adam Graham from the Detroit News who says, "Friendship, family and breasts: Sometimes that's all you need." I felt that one, right there. Looks like the reviews might be more comical than the movie itself, but either way, if you decide to take the plunge and see it yourself, please hit up the comments below and share your thoughts about "Grown Ups 2." I'm Erin Darling, thanks for tuning in to Clevver Movies.
