Just like in other professions - there are smart criminals and then not so bright ones.

A man in Ocala, Florida recently applied for a job at Martin Oil.

After jotting down all of his personal information on the employment form, Anthony Thomas reportedly decided to give himself a little monetary advance by reaching over the counter and stealing money from the cash register. The whole scene was caught on surveillance footage.

As soon as the store clerk disappears from view, Thomas can be seen opening up the drawer. He then takes out a handful of cash and stuffs it in his pants before closing the register.

He left the scene after the crime, but as the filled out application was left behind, police had no trouble catching up with him and arresting him.

Thomas has been charged with petty theft, burglary and resisting an officer by using violence. It’s fairly safe to say he won’t be getting an interview call for the job.
