A dog is not always a man's best friend.

In a troubling report, 2 dogs in Sweden have been accused of eating their owner’s body. The 43-year-old man was discovered deceased inside his home.

Nearly one third of his body had been devoured by his two Caucasian Shepherd Dogs. A friend of the victim had contacted police to report him missing.

Officers arrived at the house and immediately noticed a horrible smell coming from the dwelling. Sadly the man was found on the kitchen floor and the corpse was unrecognizable.

Law enforcement officials were forced to obtain dental records to positively confirm his identity. It is believed the man died roughly two weeks before authorities found his body.

The Caucasian Shepherds reportedly weighed about 200 pounds each. Officers on scene were forced to shoot them, as the animals were aggressively defending the remains.

Although it is believed the canine owner died of natural causes, a police spokesperson stated “These kinds of dogs are quite aggressive and dangerous.”
