The Petzl EXO Firefighter Escape System is an NFPA certified bailout system for firefighters.
The Petzl EXO was selected by the IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) as the preferred "Personal Safety System" (PSS) personal escape system (PES) for their Fire Ground Survival Master instructors.
The Petzl EXO descender was designed by Petzl in cooperation with the FDNY. However, the EXO descender the only Petzl component used in the FDNY personal escape system.
