Prof. Ekant Veer on Reims campus
The Marketing, Consumption and Society research team was happy to welcome Ekant Veer (University of Canterbury, New Zealand) for a research visit at RMS on May 29th, 2013. The seminar was about Social marketing and the perspective of the Transformative Consumer Research (TCR).
Ekant primary areas of interest include the use of marketing technologies & advertising to encourage social change and the role that consumption patterns play in developing consumer identity.
Along with being published in a number of international journals, such as Marketing Letters, the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, and the International Journal of Advertising, Ekant has been involved in projects to improve healthy living in conjunction with the WHO, various NGOs and Government bodies. Ekant serves as the Editor of Journal for Consumers, is currently Association for Consumer Research's Communications Co-ordinator and the former ACR Asia-Pacific conference chair (2012).
