Who doesn't like going to a water park in summers?

Parents visiting a water attraction in Traverse City, Michigan were recently left stunned after learning that toilet water had been flowing through the play area.

Evidently, a sewage backup was to blame, causing the unsanitary water to make its way through the park. At the time of the nasty incident, roughly half a dozen children were playing around a waterscape attraction which just opened up last week.

The man who installed the feature had arrived at the park over the weekend to find that the supposed-to-be clear liquid was murky and had floating debris. He stated “My first thought was vandalism because there was no smell. That’s because it went into 2,000 gallons of chlorinated water.”

However, a city employee had discovered sewage pouring over from a local manhole cover. After alerting fellow workers and city authorities, it was learned that a pump failure caused the toilet water to pass through a pipe intended for the splash pad.

A public health warning has been issued to local residents.
