The celebrations since the recent rulings that tore down DOMA and Prop 8 continue. Over the weekend, the NYC Gay Pride Rally was held at Pier 26 on Friday June 28, 2013.

The highlight of the day was when unofficial LGBT queen Lady Gaga gave a short speech in support of the gay community and sang the Star Spangled Banner.

The pop star closed the national anthem in a special way, with,”For the land of the free, and home for the gay,” to great applause.
