The SUV struck a private residence and the force from the crash ejected the male driver into the home. Amazingly, he landed on the living room couch.
The incident occurred a little after 3 in the morning. According to a detective with the Sherriff’s Office the vehicle didn’t properly negotiate a curve.
As a result, the SUV ran off the road and hit some trees along with a mailbox. After that, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop after striking the house.
The 24-year-old driver was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but his condition was listed as stable. The lack of serious injuries could be due to the comfy couch which reduced the impact.
And thankfully, no one inside of the residence was injured.
Police are currently investigating the crash to see if any other factors were involved, specifically alcohol.
