64-Year-Old Thief Slowed Down by His Walker During Robbery

A 64-year-old man badly bungled a robbery, as he spent way too much time trying to get his walker to fit in a stolen vehicle. The incident occurred in a shopping center parking lot in Belmont, Australia.

Aging criminals should definitely consider retirement.

Case in point – a 64-year-old man who badly bungled a robbery, as he spent way too much time trying to get his walker to fit in a stolen vehicle.

According to police, the older suspect had purchased a knife from a local K-mart store. He then advanced on a 22-year-old female who was preparing to leave the parking area.

The unsuspecting victim rolled down her window and the man held the knife to her throat, demanding she hand over her car. She complied and the suspect was able to get his walker in the vehicle. He drove a short distance away, but he stopped in order to load up the stolen automobile with other bags of goods.

The victim had called emergency operators and officers were quickly able to catch him. He was charged with one count of armed robbery.

The victim was naturally upset and scared, however she was physically fine and received her car back without damage.
