Thai farmers protest at rice subsidy cut

Farmers in Thailand have protested at a government move to cut by 20 percent the price it pays for surplus produce.
About 200 marched in Bangkok and handed in a letter to the prime minister.
Critics of the current scheme say it is wasteful, corrupt, forces up export prices and threatens the Thai government's plans to balance its budget.
