'Landlords From Hell' Plead Guilty to Terrorizing Tenants

Kip and Nicole Macy have pleaded guilty to multiple charges. The couple reportedly terrorized their tenants, who were living in a San Francisco apartment house.

Kip and Nicole Macy have been named the "landlords from hell”. The couple reportedly terrorized their tenants, who were living in a San Francisco apartment house.
The Macys purchased the property in 2005 and wanted the existing tenants to move so they could renovate the individual units and sell them.
Their reign of terror began in 2006 according to court authorities. The couple used a power saw to cut holes in the floor of one of the tenant’s living rooms. The victim was home at the time and witnessed the saw’s blade tearing through the floor.
According to CNN, the couple also cut out portions of floor joists in an attempt to make the building structurally unstable. Adding to their horrible actions, the couple bought a semi-automatic handgun and threatened to shoot the building manager.
ABC News notes that they cut phone lines, changed locks, sent threatening letters, burglarized their own tenant’s apartments and destroyed residents’ belongings.
The pair recently pleaded guilty to numerous felony charges including residential burglary, stalking and attempted grand theft.
