The job seems to be a perfect fit for Smith, who lost 5 family members in as many years. His motto is “to never a miss a moment life has to offer.”
Australia's tourism board chose six winners in total for the Best Jobs in the World competition. The other roles included park ranger, wildlife caretaker, photographer, outback explorer and taste master. Each one lasts for a period of six months.
The winners were picked from a global applicant pool of hundreds of thousands, and will each receive over $100,000 including living expenses for the six month long position.
