Miss Connecticut crowned Miss USA

STORY: Miss Connecticut Erin Brady, a 25-year old accountant, was crowned Miss USA in Las Vegas on Sunday (June 16). On hand to place the crown on her successor was Miss USA 2012 Nana Meriwether.
Miss Alabama Mary Margaret McCord was first runner up in the pageant that was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
Contestants from all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. are judged in swimsuit, gown and interview competitions.
Miss USA goes on to compete in the Miss Universe competition, both of which are partially owned by real estate developer and reality TV star Donald Trump.
