Migrant newborn rescued hours after birth

After a week at sea, a boat loaded with over 150 migrants pulls into a port in southern Italy.

The coastguard rescued the migrants Saturday after their vessel became stranded in the waters off Calabria.

Officials believe the boat set sail from Turkey seven days ago.

The passengers included a baby - seen here swaddled in a sweatshirt - face obscured in this video.

Coastguard said Nojian - her name means 'new life' - had been born at sea.

The migrants were said to hail from several countries, including Syria and Afghanistan.

The boat was one of four migrant vessels recently intercepted by the Italian coast guard.
