A local councillor has sparked outrage in Italy as she called for the country's first black minister to be raped.

Integration Minister Cecile Kyenge was targeted on twitter by Dolores Valandro, an elected councillor in northern city of Padua.

Valandro made the comment in reference to the alleged rape of two women by an African man.
