In the original video we posted, the title (created by Linus, not Slick) mistakenly referred to the switches being used on the keyboard as "counterfeit" Cherry MX switches, but they are NOT.
Compounding the error, the keyboard being shown in the video is clearly not the same as the one pictured on the box next to it, so while Slick believed (from reading the box) that he was holding a keyboard with non-Cherry MX switches, in actuality, it DID have Cherry MX switches.
These are the main points to take away:
- Armaggeddon, and the model of the product (Black Hornet MKA-3) was INCORRECTLY referred to as using counterfeit Cherry MX switches in the video title, and INCORRECTLY referred to as using non-Cherry MX switches in the video.
- This video is meant to serve as an official apology to Armaggeddon, and within it we specifically admit that 'Slick" should have taken a closer look at the Cherry MX switches. Had he done so, he would have noticed that they were indeed embossed with the Cherry MX logo.
- Armaggeddon's backlit mechanical keyboards (i.e. Black Hornet MKA-3 and Stealth Raptor MKA-7) use genuine Cherry MX switches for 100% of their keys.
Thank you for watching this apology video. We owe it to you the viewer to bring you the most accurate information we possibly can, and we let you down this time. We will work diligently to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
