China spacecraft docks at lab

Another giant leap for China's burgeoning space programme.

Three Chinese astronauts aboard the Shenzhou-10 spacecraft successfully dock with experimental space lab Tiangong-1.

The 15-day mission will be the longest time Chinese astronauts have spent in space.

While still someway behind established space superpowers, the United States and Russia, China has an ambitious space programme.

Budget restraints and shifting priorities have held back U.S. manned space launches.

But China is already setting its sights on an unmanned mission to the moon.

Scientists have also raised the possibility of sending a man to the moon, though not before 2020.
