The story is based on the Hercules: The Thracian Wars novel, and starts after the well known story of Hercules and his twelve labors, and apparently will not really focus on the supernatural but will instead will have a real world element. In this movie, Hercules becomes a mercenary but is still haunted by his past mistakes. He, along with five other friends, travel to Greece where he uses his legendary reputation to intimidate others in order to sell his services for gold. Hercules strikes up a deal with the ruler of Thrace and his daughter,to help them defeat a savage warlord. And it is this exchange that changes Hercules back into the hero he once was.
