The guys of One Direction are going their separate ways --- but before Directioners out there get too bent out of shape, it's not what you're thinking. This separation of sorts is actually a good thing, especially for the guys' bank accounts. According to the Sun in the UK, Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn all inked individual deals with publishing company Fingate, meaning that each of them will now be able to quote "cash in on all songs they have a credit for writing -- not as a band split five ways, but as individuals." For example, this means that if Niall writes a song that 1D records, he'll receive publishing royalties -- or in simpler terms, he'll be making more money. While some might not think this is a good idea for group loyalty, keep in mind, this is a great incentive for each of the guys and their personal creativity. It also means that they can also write for other acts. One source said that this deal sends a strong message to the industry about the guys of 1D, explaining that "they have absolutely no intention of being spoon-fed pop puppets. They want to write and they want to earn as individuals." Throughout the last year, each member of the group has dished out cash to build at home recording studios, and with this new deal, it sounds like solo careers for the guys could be closer than we anticipated. That said, we do know that another 1D album is also in the pipeline, so at the end of the day, this means we'll just be getting more of the guys than ever. So what do you all think? Give us your thoughts on these new deals and make sure to subscribe to ClevverTV for updates as they emerge. IN the meantime, if you love One Direction, check this out:
