Porsche has broken into the architecture world. The Miami's Porsche Design Tower houses three robotic elevators which takes cars all the way to your apartment.
There’s a good reason why people with scads of money usually own a Porsche.
On top of being a wealth symbol, the innovative car brand has recently broken into the architecture world.
Residents of oceanfront apartments at the Miami's Porsche Design Tower will essentially be able to drive right into their homes. The building will include three robotic glass elevators to transport the car and gently deposit it right inside the owner’s apartment.
The driver gets to stay seated in their Porsche for the duration of the elevator ride. All an owner has to do is drive into the building.
The vehicle is then scanned and moves onto a turntable. The car is powered off and the turntable whisks the vehicle and its occupants into the elevator and up to their apartment.
The radical building is a $560 million condominium complex with condos priced between $4.5 and $25 million, and features high luxury amenities such as a private restaurant and 24 hour concierge.
What do you think? How do you like the idea of taking your car all the way to your residence?
