Usher and Blake Shelton team up for a cover of Michael Buble's "Home" and Miranda Lambert is brought to tears- all on the Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert. Just so you know, you're watching ClevverMusic with your music news update. Last night May 29th on NBC Blake Shelton organized his superstar musical friends for a special 1 hour benefit concert for those affected by the recent F5 twister disaster in Oklahoma. During the show, a tornado warning was in effect but that didn't stop 14,000 people from gathering in Oklahoma City to see music's biggest stars participate in a telethon for the United Way. One major highlight of the night was when Country singer Blake Shelton and R&B singer Usher took their bromance a step further. The two 'The Voice' coaches closed the night with a duet of Michael Buble's touching song "Home" with images of the Oklahoma relief behind them, take a look.
It's pretty cool seeing two guys so opposite come together with this song and for a good cause. Other artists that Blake tapped to perform at the benefit concert included Reba McEntire, Luke Bryan, Vince Gill, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, One Republic's Ryan Tedder and of course Blake's wife Miranda Lambert. It was Miranda who had the other emotional highlight of the night. It was during her performance of "The House That Built Me" that she was so overtaken with emotion tears formed in her eyes and had to take a break from singing the song. The crowd helped her out and she was able to finish the passionate track.
