With production on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy to begin soon, casting is in full swing with actress Glen Close becoming the latest addition to the space-adventure. Close, best known for roles in films like Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmatians and the TV show Damages, will play the leader of the Nova Corps. For those unfamiliar, Nova Corps is an intergalactic police force of sorts, similar to Earth's S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. In fact, Close's role is being described as comparable to Samuel L. Jackson's "Nick Fury" in The Avengers. We previously reported that John C. Reilly was being eyed to play Rhomann Dey, a member of the Nova Corps in the comics. HitFix claimed he would instead be a human member of S.H.I.E.L.D., but Close's casting suggests he will most likely remain a member of Nova Corp after all. Reilly's role would be similar to Agent Coulson's in The Avengers. Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled to hit theaters on August 1st, 2014 and will be the only film in Marvel's Phase 2 that won't be a sequel. In addition to Close and Reilly, the film also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace and Michael Rooker. We're still waiting to hear who will end up taking on the roles of the gun-wielding Rocket Raccoon and Groot, a sentient tree-like creature. So who's excited to see Glenn Close lead Nova Corps in Guardians and who would you like see take on the voices of Rocket Raccoon and Groot?
