A distressed baby orangutan has been rescued after horrendously being poached for the illegal pet trade. Fondly named as 'Alam', the 18-month-old ape was surrendered by an oil palm plantation worker in North Sumatra in Western Indonesia. But the Orangutan Information Centre (OIC) who discovered Alam suspect the orangutan had originally come from Aceh province and sold on by a poacher.
